About hot dip galvanizing hardware

Hot-dip galvanizing is one of the most reliable and cost-effective ways to protect metal structures against corrosion.
It is known that electro-galvanized fasteners are still used for hot-dip galvanized structures, despite the fact that OST 34-29-566 from 1974 indicates the need for hot-dip galvanized hardware.

The use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners can significantly increase the durability of the connection.

Hot-dip galvanized hardware has 5-7 times more corrosion resistance than electro-galvanized fasteners, and are close in durability to stainless steel.

Zincing of parts forms an impermeable barrier between the environment and the metal. At the same time, the physicochemical properties of zinc provide the entire range of protective coating properties.
